Chef

Many meat companies employ chefs as part of their research and development teams who develop recipes for new meat products. They prepare these new products for taste testing and for measuring other quality attributes. Some chefs work directly with food service and retailers to educate consumers about preparing a company's products. Restaurants have an increasing demand for chefs who have a knowledge of meat cutting.

A technical degree in culinary arts is typically the minimum requirement to work as a chef for meat businesses.
