Food Safety or Quality Assurance Specialist


This position is responsible for assuring regulatory compliance, customer specifications, food safety, and quality programs within the facility. They manage the internal quality audit function for the site and ensure effectiveness of the corrective and preventative action process within the framework of the plant's Quality Management System.

Most people in these positions have a degree in food or meat science or microbiology and have gone through training in the principles of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HAACP.)​
