A HACCP coordinator overseas and administers the facility hazard analysis critical control point (HACCP) program and the individuals associated with the program. They are charged with the appropriate function and application of the working HACCP and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) programs. Coordinators must have initiative and follow through on a timely basis to make sure execution and documentation are carried out to meet the established guidelines of the program.
An associate's degree is usually required, while a college degree in related field is often preferred.
